The Overworld Academy was created and developed under the Overworld umbrella to offer a range of free educational resources for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Overword's core business involves esports, gaming and media content creation and utilising the state-of-the-art equipment available including our gaming arena, VR, green screen technology and multi-media production suites we have developed a customised study programme of six short courses accredited by ASDAN. These courses are offered completely free of charge to local SEND groups and home-schooled learners to develop a range of technical skills but also to develop personal, social, communication skills and self-confidence.
Alongside this we have been delivering the AIM Level 3 qualifications in esports. Thanks to the excellent support and encouragement from our New Business Development Lead Mick Woodward and our Centre Lead Katharine Pearce Overworld now uses the AIM IF kitemark to demonstrate an assurance of excellence and outstanding quality of provision for our educational programmes.

SweetTree is a care service that delivers support to people in their own homes. During our time we have become a leading UK care provider working with more than 10,000 people living across London. Our services provide care and support for clients with Brain Injury & Neurological Conditions; Learning Disabilities & General Home Care/Dementia conditions. We have also recently achieved an outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection which we are extremely proud of. As a training academy we are committed to investing in our staffs development and offer lots of inhouse training to support them in their jobs and in their lives, from pre-employment training, all induction training as well as specialist CPD training and use AIM’s to help quality assure all of these. I have been a Training and development manager for a number of years and have always looked to find organisations that will accredit my programs, AIM’s have been very supportive in this process and I’m happy to be able to offer our staff quality, accredited courses from them that they can be proud of.
